SADD Leadership Opportunity for Y12-13 students

Students Against Dangerous Driving run amazing training programmes for young leaders in schools.

We are looking for a couple of students who really care about road safety and are keen to promote this in our school.

The Term One workshop is on Thursday 19th March after school and there is a conference which is a 3-day fully-funded camp in Dunedin, 22-24 April.

See the newsletter below from the SADD coordinator for schools, Lydia, and let Ms McLaughlin know if you are keen to take part. This could be

It would be amazing to have some of your students along to this workshop, it is the best way to get going for the year with SADD in your school and we would really recommend someone (or a group) from your school is there.
It will be a lot of fun, and hopefully really well equip your students for being leaders in the road safety space in your community. Check out the attached workshop invite and let me know who will be coming along. If you do not currently have a SADD group, but have some students that might be interested they are welcome to come along, this will be a helpful way for them to learn more.
Our annual conference is also coming up in April, which is in Dunedin this year! This is another great event for students to get along to, check out the link below. Conference is a 3 day camp with awesome students from around the South Island, building leadership skills, having heaps of fun and contributing to content and resources for the benefit of all NZ.
Looking forward to hearing from you, Lydia

UC Possibilities – Discover the Bachelor of Arts

UC are inviting Year 13 students on campus for the opportunity to discover the range of subjects that can be studied in a Bachelor of Arts. UC Possibilities is a taster programme for students that introduces all major subjects over the course of three days. Running during school holiday time from 15-17 April, the event is absolutely free. Students only need to register to attend.Diversity, flexibility and choice are key aspects about the Bachelor of Arts. However, the big variety of subjects can also make it hard for students to understand their options and find a path. This event really helps students in making their study choices.

Students can register for just one, two or all three days.

For more information, please go to this webpage.
